FF: Found Things

Needed some lighter stories to balance the darker – but all of them had depth, which is nice.

Persephone Wants to be Harriet for Halloween

For those of you just discovering this part of my blog, the Friday Fragments lists what I’ve read over the past week.  Most of the time I don’t include details of either short fiction (unless part of a book-length collection) or magazines.

The Fragments are not meant to be a recommendation list.  If you’re interested in a not-at-all-inclusive recommendation list, you can look on my website under Neat Stuff.

Once again, this is not a book review column.  It’s just a list with, maybe, a bit of description or a few opinions tossed in.

Recently Completed:

The Book of Lost Things by John Connolly.

Whiskerella (Hamster Princess 4) by Ursula Vernon.

No Such Thing as Ghosts (Dragonbreath 5) by Ursula Vernon.

In Progress:

Lady Knight (Protector of the Small, Book 4) by Tamora Pierce.  Audiobook.

Also:

Wolf Hunting by Jane Lindskold.  They’ve opened the door and let Truth out.

I did that, too. Grabbed something light to re-read after several decades: Don Miller’s “Hollywood Corral,” an overview of B-westerns by someone awfully knowledgeable about them. Fun stuff.
