    Dear Jane,
Wonderful blog! It made me want to put down my work for my American Literature class (Huck Finn) and go pull out Shakespeare instead. Excellent job! I hope it goes well.

    Smiles,

    Ann

  2. Paul Dellinger Says:

Now THIS is a blog I’ll be reading regularly — and I don’t read many.

  3. Tom Says:

    I’ll be back

  4. Julie Bechtel Says:

How lovely to hear your ‘voice’ again Jane even though it’s written. Hope all is well with you! I’ll pop in to read again.

  5. janelindskold Says:

    Hi Julie!

I still use the cookie cutters you gave me. I hope all is well with you, too.

  6. Susan Bannister Says:

You look like your mother, Jane. That’s meant as a compliment–I always remember her as having short dark reddish brown hair. She always smiled. What a gift it was to know her kind ways!

  7. Wolfish brianna Says:

I really love your firekeeper series. I must have read them about a million times. My mom loves them too. In fact she loves them so much that she got a full-blooded timber wolf a few years ago. She seems to think she IS Firekeeper.lol. I’m really sad that the series is over with . I would love to hear more of firekeepers life and if she ever gets what she truly desires.

    Stay beautiful and keep smiling

  8. Susan Bannister Says:

Hope you, Jane, and mother, Barbara are doing well–love your blog–keep doing what you are doing as you do it always with excellence and finesse. Heard it is hot there already–enjoy the sunshine and light of your days!

  9. Mary Says:

I keep hoping another novel of the Athanor series will appear. I so want to know what happens as Shahrazad grows up…

  10. janelindskold Says:

    Hi Mary,

If the right story hit me, I’d tell it… Shahrazad remains a vivid character for me, too.

  11. janelindskold Says:

Oh! I forgot to mention. Shahrazad and some of the other athanor do appear in the short story “Witches’ Broom, Apple Soon” in the anthology FAERIE FANTASTIC.

  12. Debby Says:

Please add me to the list of people waiting — resignedly — for more in the athenor series

  13. Reading Carrie Says:

i recently discovered your Firekeeper series and i was wondering how you can create books so in depth and interesting at the same time, especially during times when you have to explain the blood line and traditions. Any advice for a young fellow writer?

    • janelindskold Says:

Carrie — It takes a long time and a lot of thought… That’s the honest answer, but not an easy one.

I actually write the equivalent of essays to explain some details like traditions to myself and to give me something I can refer back to later.

  14. Linda Says:

I deeply enjoy your Firekeeper & Blind Seer Stories and regret that I have read there will be no more, please say this is not true!

  15. Dan Says:

Any notion as to when “Legends Walking” will be available for Kindle?

You’ve got the largest folder, and I’d like to add another title to it.

Another fan who came to your work by way of Zelazny.

    • janelindskold Says:

      Dan —

What a great question! It just — as in I received notification this morning — went up this morning (3-06-12). However, you’ll find it under the title _Changer’s Daughter_. If you’d like to know why, take a look at next week’s Wednesday Wandering. I’m waiting until then so that all the files for various e-readers will be up and ready to go!

  16. Susan Bannister Says:

Still love your blog, but haven’t seen it as often lately–hope you and your mother, Barbara, are doing well! Hope you have a wonderful, safe spring!

  17. Dan Says:

Muwahahahah! Just purchased, and appreciate the price as well. Thanks!

  18. Jilletta Jarvis (previously Davis) Says:

    Jane,

Don’t know if you’ll remember me. I’ve truly enjoyed reading all of your books. I enjoyed the times we discussed publishing as well. If you’re interested – send me a note.

    Jilletta

  19. John Says:

Does anyone know if there is ever going to be a 4th book in the “Star Kingdom” series? It’s been over a year since the last one (Treecat Wars) was released. 😦
